There are times when a career that is glittering hides some of the saddest stories. The winner of the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after lots of effort and immense amount of patience. Jones was the sole member of a five-child household who lived in a slum. Jones lived with her mom in the basement of a church. Jones had to be moved to a different school each year up until her high school years due to her nomadic nature. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones was separated from her mother to follow her passion for the track and field events. Jones resided in four houses during her highschool time to pursue her education at a single location. Jones is a cellist of the school's orchestra and recipient of the Gatorade Iowa track and field athlete of the Year award gave her the Gatorade Iowa Athlete award at the time of her graduation from the high school year. Jones was one of the best hurdlers in her age group when she began the college. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championship she was the winner of the 100-meter hurdles. Additionally, she was one the participants of the runner-up team for the relay race of 100 meters. In 2003 and in 2004, Jones placed first in the indoor hurdles race at the NCAA Championship. Jones started her track and field career in 2005 when she finished her university studies. She won two events, races, including the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track Championships 2005.
Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. She was discovered by local casting directors. Brandt assumed the character as Naevia for the Starz hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was among the main stars of this show, working with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Mazikeen, a fan-favorite Vertigo/DC character from comic books and Vertigo/DC's Lucifer played her part in the hit Netflix show. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke to record binge levels and was named one of the most watched shows in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt will next appear alongside Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the six-episode limited Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. She is also starring opposite Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated drama Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Ann Brandt was a South African-born native of the country born on 2nd December 1981. She is a New Zealand actress with a impressive talents. Lesley Brandt moved along with her entire family in Auckland New Zealand in 1999. She began her career in Auckland as a wholesaler after which she was promoted to a management consultant for IT. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in countless commercials. In 2008, she graduated from her studies in acting, and further trained in Meisner methods of study. Lesley's first recognizable acting job was in the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest performance on New Zealand's series Shortland Street in the role of a support actor. Then she was in the sci-fi drama series This Is Not My Life that is based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the drama series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia an escaped hostage. She then appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
